working with existing forms and conventions

I believe that the writing and content conversions I used would be typical to my magazine genre as i have used relatively spoken, but humorous language so its like your hearing it off the radio so that my target audience can easily follow and understand the magazine. The spoken language will address a wider audience because it appeals to an wider audience because it app ales to an older generation as well as a younger one. The use of imagery helps to gain my audiences attention therefore u an following what they want to see.

My magazine relates to existing examples in some areas- due to its conventions. In some areas, my magazine is much like the old "Smash Hit" as i have reflected identities of the pop star looks from pop to indie bands that seem wear pale colours and have a cute little look to them. This makes my magazine also a very fashion based just like "FMH" with the glam look about it. Which makes it different to any other magazine. Furthermore my magazine have a big range of lay out style its crosses from "FHM" contents page to "bluzer" front cover and "smash hit" double page spread lay out. However due to the look of my magazine it seems to crosses a stylish magazine and also a genre specific magazine.

Working in media production contexts- professional practice

We had a relatively long time making our music magazine, therefore time management wasn't too much of an issue. The only equipment i used was a camera, and access to this was available constantly which was to my advantage. one issue i had was finding places to take my pictures as most of the time i needed to take them i could only do it at college. The other issue i had was getting to grips with my resources Photo shop. As some of the time i had to delayed my making at times. To over come this problem, i had a lot of guidance from my teachers as well as giving up my free time to work on my photo shop work, this helped me to widen my knowledge of the program.

After developing my skills on Photo shop, i decided to redo and improve my own work, like making my edges of my picture blend in to the background i did this by using the bur tool, as this soften my picture.

Management of photographs was difficult at times due to the time as i found it hard to get people to dress up as every one in my pictures are students this made it hard found time. The lighting and balanced for colour was really good guilty even in studio lighting.

It was defiantly worth handing in plenty of drafts as my final product looks has improved so much from when i first made it. This gave it a more stylises edge to my work that makes it appeal more to my high stream audience.

Thinking about audience (making meaning)

Prducing a questionaire for my music magazine allowed me to gain fedback about what poeple would like to seen included. The feedback I recived confimed my expectaions to an extent- for

Using tehnology

Techology played a massive part in my music magazine as i used Photoshop which helped me to achieve greater creativity. As well as experimenting with Photoshop which alonds me to gain further knowlege in the different aspects of the promgrame- therefore i learnt how to use the basic parts for my college magazine and further my skills to create my music magazine. The use of photoshop helped me to have a creative strand on all my crative prouducts, because all of the different aspects of this program.MY favrourit being the wrap texts i did on my music magazine front cover with all the pull quotes,Which makes the impacted on certian parts of the texts, which was fun playing about with all different styles of texts and text sizers.

The only problem that occurred with photoshop is that some of my layes only worked on certain computeres, which slowed down my production, as well as my lack of knowledge of how to use the program at the begain so therefore it was hard to make at times.
